Whether you need the crisp, clear tones of a RODE condenser, the warm dynamics of the legendary Shure SM7B, we have the microphone to capture the character and spirit of your unique sound. We’ve got outboard analogue compressors to add that bit of sparkle and punch, and we’ll be tracking up to 96kBps / 24-bit.

Our staff

My name is Di Drew and I’ll be your recording engineer. Besides my 15+ years of recording experience & degree in contemporary music & composition (BMus(Hons)), I have a background in community arts, & started off as a youth venue activities officer in Newcastle NSW. My core belief that every person has something to say, & their creative voice deserves to be nourished, encouraged & shared with the world. Whilst I am committed to professional, industry-grade results, I do not believe in the elitism or gatekeeping that occurs all too frequently in the music industry; it is more important to me that my clients feel comfortable & free to express the best possible version of their creative visions. I can also just be your technical gun-for-hire too, though, if that’s what you need!

Rates

Prices start from $75/hr (incl. GST) – minimum 2hr booking. Discounts for half & full days, multi-days, etc.

All bookings in this studio require a Magnet sound engineer present during the session. We are working on dry-hire / DIY options for the future – check back regularly.
